PowerShell remoting is not the same as SMB file sharing. Enable-PSRemoting -Force configures WinRM listeners and firewall settings; it does not create an SMB share or override access permissions. Avoid enabling remoting on untrusted or public networks. Windows PowerShell 5.1 and PowerShell 7 can configure different remoting endpoints.

A Windows home/workgroup configuration may also require appropriate authentication and remoting configuration. Do not weaken credential checks or open firewall access to arbitrary hosts just to make the demonstration work.

Domain SLM planner (illustrative)

GOAL: Deploy a local static site.

1. Determine example local subnet.
2. Collect device acknowledgments.
3. Check explicit owner approval.
4. Check SMB/Samba share readiness.
5. Check authorized management route.
6. Stage a Marmot manifest & files.
7. Show installer + permission changes.
8. Initialize an in-memory database.
9. Simulate HTTP GET and audit results.
